On June 30, 2025, Sofia – in the building of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP), a meeting of the Advisory Council on Corporate Social Responsibility to the Minister of Labor and Social Policy was held, in which NASOR is a regular member.
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy and Chairwoman of the Council, Ms. Gergana Aleksova-Velikova, and by Ms. Vessela Politova – Director of the Directorate “Living Standards, Demographic Policy and Social Investments”, who is also the Deputy Chairwoman of the CSR Committee.
Main focus of the agenda:
🔸 Presentation of the Proposal for a new Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council, which envisages amending key regulatory acts: Directives 2006/43/EC, 2013/34/EU, (EU) 2022/2464 (CSRD) and (EU) 2024/1760 (CSDDD). The main goal is to improve the requirements for corporate sustainability reports and introduce stricter due diligence of corporate activities.
🔸 Bulgaria’s Framework Position on the proposal and the current work within the preparatory bodies of the Council of the EU were presented. The priorities, challenges and the role of the national administration in the process were discussed.
🔸 In the second part of the meeting, the issue of the possibilities and ways of transposing Directive 2024/1760 into Bulgarian legislation was discussed, including:
- the expected new obligations for businesses regarding sustainability and human rights,

the role and responsibilities of the state as a regulator and partner.
