On 28 and 29 March 2024, a representative of NASOR attended a study visit to France for the IWorCon project on improving working conditions in the social sphere. Representatives from Greece, FONSS – Romania, UNIPSO – Belgium, Actiz – Netherlands, Lares – Spain also participated in the meetings held during the period. Representatives of local employers’ organizations Elisfa and Nexem hosted and moderated the meeting.
During the two-day training, a number of aspects relevant to improving working conditions in the sector were discussed. The effectiveness and wide application of collective bargaining and sectoral agreements in France was highlighted. Emphasis was placed on the importance of social dialogue between employees, employers and government. The need to digitalize and integrate artificial intelligence into work by deploying technology to support work processes and facilitate access to information and resources was discussed. The topic of continuing education and training for employees was discussed, as well as opportunities for further development. Last but not least, occupational health, various social protection schemes, resources and activities aimed at improving working conditions and ensuring a healthy and safe working environment for social workers were discussed.
